Label an issue, get a video

Add the zipir-video label to a Linear issue and Zıpır turns its title and description into a lesson. When the video is ready, the result is posted back on the same issue: a watch link and its duration.

What it does

When the label is added, Zıpır reads the issue like a document: the title names the lesson, the description is its text. The lesson goes through the same pipeline as the panel: the document is read, a storyboard is prepared, you approve it, and the video is produced. When it is done, Zıpır comments on the issue with the watch link, the video's duration and the signature “Zıpır”.

The same issue never opens a second job: removing and re-adding the label still produces one lesson.

How to install

  1. 1

Sign in to your Zıpır account

Whoever starts the install must be signed in: the lesson spends that account's minutes.

  2. 2

    Authorize the app in Linear

In Linear open Settings → Integrations → Zıpır, or go straight to the install link. Add the app to your workspace on Linear's consent screen.

  3. 3

Create the zipir-video label in your team

The label name must be exactly zipir-video. Create it under the team's label settings in Linear.

  4. 4

Add the label to an issue

Add the zipir-video label to the issue you want as a lesson. Zıpır starts the lesson when the issue is updated.

Limits

No video without approval. The label only starts the lesson; no frame is produced until you review and approve the storyboard in the panel. This is the same rule as the panel and the API.

The quota is the panel's quota. A lesson spends the minutes of the Zıpır account that installed the app; there is no separate Linear quota or extra fee. When the quota is short, no lesson is opened and no comment is written.

If the description is empty, the title alone is used. For long issues, the whole description is read as the lesson text.

Removing it

In Linear, remove the app under Settings → Integrations → Zıpır. Zıpır stops processing labels from that workspace; videos already made stay in the panel.
