Document to video
Turn the documents you already have into video lessons
Word files, PDFs, PowerPoint decks, Markdown and plain text all start the same way: upload, review the plan, approve. The video quotes the document and shows where each sentence comes from.
What you can upload
- PDF, up to 300 pages. More on PDFs.
- Word (.docx). Word files are read as text.
- PowerPoint (.pptx), with speaker notes. More on decks.
- Markdown (.md) and plain text (.txt). More on scripts.
Old .doc and .ppt files are not accepted: save them as .docx and .pptx first. A file can be up to 50 MB.
How it works
- 1
Upload a document
Sign in and drop the file into the panel. Nothing is produced yet.
- 2
Review the storyboard
Zıpır reads the file and proposes a scene plan. Each scene shows the sentence it will put on screen and the place in your file it comes from.
- 3
Approve, or fix one frame
No video is rendered and no minutes are used until you approve. To change one frame, circle it and say what is wrong; only that frame changes, and revisions do not use minutes.
- 4
Watch, share, check
The finished video has narration, subtitles and, on every scene, the page and line of the quote. A proof report comes with it.
Where it fits
It suits material that already says what the learner needs to know: a procedure, a policy, a safety instruction, a course reading, a product manual. Zıpır does not invent content. If the document is thin, the video is thin, and a document too short to make three scenes is turned down at the planning step.
One video runs up to 15 minutes. For a long document, save a chapter as its own file; each part becomes its own video.
Language. A document in English gets an English video by default, and you can choose the video's language when you upload. If the document is in another language than the one you pick, the narration and on-screen text are translated; the quoted source sentence stays in its own language, and the video carries a "translated narration" label. The panel's menus and buttons, the quiz and SCORM text, and the proof report are in Turkish today.
After the video
- Check the work. Every scene shows the page and line of its quote, and the proof report lists them. The free source checker compares any narration with a document without an account.
- Share it. A finished video has a share link. For an LMS, the paid plans can download a SCORM 1.2 package; the quiz and SCORM text are in Turkish today.
- Start it from your own system. The API starts a lesson from a document and reports its status.
What it costs
Billing is per finished video minute. Studio is ₺990 a month for 15 finished video minutes and Team is ₺3.490 a month for 60; prices include VAT. Revisions do not use minutes.
Questions
Which file types does Zıpır accept?
PDF, Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), Markdown (.md) and plain text (.txt), up to 50 MB each. Old .doc and .ppt files are not accepted; save them in the newer format first.
Is the video made from my document or from general knowledge?
From your document. Every on-screen sentence is a verbatim quote with its page and line, and a quote that does not exist in the source is rejected.
Can the same document become more than one video?
Yes. For a long document, save each chapter as its own file; each part becomes its own video of up to 15 minutes.
Do I pay for plans I reject?
No. Nothing is rendered and no minutes are used until you approve the storyboard. Billing is per finished video minute, and revisions do not use minutes.
Can learners take a quiz after the video?
The video owner can add a short quiz built from the video's own verified sentences. The quiz and its certificate text are in Turkish today.
