PowerPoint to video

Turn a PowerPoint deck into a narrated video lesson

Upload a .pptx. Zıpır reads the slide text, the speaker notes, the tables and the charts, plans the scenes, and shows the slide number as the source of every quote once you approve the plan.

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload your .pptx file

Sign in and drop the file into the panel. Nothing is produced yet.

  2. 2

    Review the storyboard

Zıpır reads the file and proposes a scene plan. Each scene shows the sentence it will put on screen and the place in your file it comes from.

  3. 3

    Approve, or fix one frame

No video is rendered and no minutes are used until you approve. To change one frame, circle it and say what is wrong; only that frame changes, and revisions do not use minutes.

  4. 4

    Watch, share, check

The finished video has narration, subtitles and, on every scene, the page and line of the quote. A proof report comes with it.

What Zıpır reads in a deck

  • Slide text first, then speaker notes. For each slide, Zıpır reads the text on the slide and then the notes. If your notes carry the explanation, they are part of the lesson.
  • Tables and charts. They are extracted and can appear as visuals in the video.
  • The slide number is the page. Each quote's source reads as its slide number, in place of a PDF page.

What it does not read

  • Hidden slides and empty slides are skipped.
  • Text that is a picture is not read. There is no text recognition for PowerPoint, so a screenshot of a paragraph or text saved as an image is ignored. Retype it as slide text first.
  • Old .ppt files are not accepted. Save the deck as .pptx in PowerPoint and upload that.
  • It does not copy your slide design. The video has its own look, chosen from the visual formats; your template, animations and transitions are not carried over.
  • A file can be up to 50 MB and one video up to 15 minutes. A deck too short to make three scenes is turned down at the planning step, before any minutes are used.

Language. A document in English gets an English video by default, and you can choose the video's language when you upload. If the document is in another language than the one you pick, the narration and on-screen text are translated; the quoted source sentence stays in its own language, and the video carries a "translated narration" label. The panel's menus and buttons, the quiz and SCORM text, and the proof report are in Turkish today.

What it costs

Billing is per finished video minute. Studio is ₺990 a month for 15 finished video minutes and Team is ₺3.490 a month for 60; prices include VAT. Revisions do not use minutes.

Questions

Are speaker notes used?

Yes. For each slide Zıpır reads the slide text first and then the speaker notes, so an explanation that lives only in your notes can reach the video.

Are the slide images and layout kept?

No. Zıpır reads the content of the deck and makes a new video in one of its visual formats. Your template, animations and transitions are not carried over, and text that exists only inside a picture is not read.

Can I upload a .ppt file?

No, only .pptx. In PowerPoint, save the old file as .pptx and upload that one.

What are tables and charts used for?

They are extracted from the deck and can be shown as visuals in the video, so a chart does not have to be described only in words.

Do I see the plan before the video is made?

Yes. The storyboard shows every scene with its quote and slide number. No video is rendered and no minutes are used until you approve it.

Try it on one of your decks

Upload a .pptx and read the storyboard first. Nothing is made until you approve it.
